सात्यकिस् तु ततो द्रोणं नवभिर् नतपर्वभिः ॥
आजघान भृशं क्रुद्धो ध्वजं च निशितैः शरैः ॥
सारथिं च शतेनैव भारद्वाजस्य पश्यतः ॥
लाघवं युयुधानस्य दृष्ट्वा द्रोणो महारथः ॥
सप्तत्या सात्यकिं विद्ध्वा तुरगांश् च त्रिभिस् त्रिभिः ॥
ध्वजम् एकेन विव्याध माधवस्य रथे स्थितम् ॥
अथापरेण भल्लेन हेमपुङ्खेन पत्रिणा ॥
धनुश् चिच्छेद समरे माधवस्य महात्मनः ॥

译文

And Satyaki then, greatly enraged, struck Drona with nine smooth-jointed arrows, and his banner with sharp arrows. Seeing Yuyudhana's swiftness, Drona, the great warrior, pierced Satyaki with seventy arrows and his horses with three each, then with another gold-feathered, winged, wide arrow cut through the bow of Madhava, the great-souled one, in the battle.
