तं यान्तम् अश्वैः शशिशङ्खवर्णैर्; विगाह्य सैन्यं पुरुषप्रवीरम् ॥
नाशक्नुवन् वारयितुं समन्ताद्; आदित्यरश्मिप्रतिमं नराग्र्यम् ॥
असह्यविक्रान्तम् अदीनसत्त्वं; सर्वे गणा भारत दुर्विषह्यम् ॥
सहस्रनेत्रप्रतिमप्रभावं; दिवीव सूर्यं जलदव्यपाये ॥

译文

Him, riding on horses the color of moon and conch, plunging into the army, the heroic man, they could not restrain from any side -- resembling the sun's rays, foremost among men, of unbearable valor, unfailing in spirit, unconquerable, O descendant of Bharata, for all the hosts, with might like the thousand-eyed Indra's -- as the sun in the sky once the clouds have parted.
