लब्धलक्ष्याश् च संग्रामे बहवश् चित्रयोधिनः ॥
देवदानवगन्धर्वान् विजेतारो ह्य् अविस्मिताः ॥
स्ववीर्यविजये युक्ता नैते परपरिग्रहाः ॥
न तुल्यं वृष्णिभिर् इह दृश्यते किं चन प्रभो ॥
भूतं भव्यं भविष्यच् च बलेन भरतर्षभ ॥
labdhalakṣyāś ca saṃgrāme bahavaś citrayodhinaḥ ||
devadānavagandharvān vijetāro hy avismitāḥ ||
svavīryavijaye yuktā naite paraparigrahāḥ ||
na tulyaṃ vṛṣṇibhir iha dṛśyate kiṃ cana prabho ||
bhūtaṃ bhavyaṃ bhaviṣyac ca balena bharatarṣabha ||
"And in battle, with unerring aim, are many who fight marvelously, conquerors of gods, danavas, and gandharvas, yet unastonished by their own might. Nothing equal to the Vrishnis is seen here, o lord — in the past, the present, or the future — in strength, o bull among the Bharatas."

The Vrishnis are conquerors even of gods and danavas, and yet 'unastonished,' avismitah: the highest might, one that does not exalt itself. It is telling that their supremacy is measured not by one age but by all time. The verse teaches that true greatness joins strength with humility; and one who conquers gods yet does not marvel at his own power stands above anyone whose strength merely inflates pride — for their unsurpassed nature lies in humility no less than in strength.
