译文

Studded with gold-fletched arrows, both gleamed as though covered with fireflies, O king, like two trees in the season of rains. With every limb ablaze from the arrows, those two great warriors appeared furious in battle, like two elephants driven mad by torches. Then in the fight, O great king, Somadatta, the great warrior, cut Madhava's great bow with a crescent-headed arrow. Then he showered him with twenty-five arrows, and, hurrying at the moment that called for haste, once more with ten arrows.
