स महास्त्रैर् महाराज द्रोणम् आच्छादयद् रणे ॥
निहत्य सर्वाण्य् अस्त्राणि भारद्वाजस्य पार्षतः ॥
स वसातीञ् शिबींश् चैव बाह्लीकान् कौरवान् अपि ॥
रक्षिष्यमाणान् संग्रामे द्रोणं व्यधमद् अच्युतः ॥
धृष्टद्युम्नस् तदा राजन् गभस्तिभिर् इवांशुमान् ॥
बभौ प्रच्छादयन्न् आशाः शरजालैः समन्ततः ॥

译文

He, with great weapons, O great king, covered Drona in battle, having repelled all the weapons of Bharadvaja — Parshata. He, the unshaken one, scattered the Vasatis and the Shibis, and the Bahlikas and the Kauravas as well, who were guarding Drona in the fight, and Drona himself. Dhrishtadyumna then, O king, like the sun with its rays, shone, veiling the quarters with nets of arrows on every side.
