译文

Mounting elephants and chariots, and even the enemy's horses, people with disheveled hair, shattered, and no two ran together. Saying "all is over," men downcast in spirit, drained of strength, some casting off their armor, fled -- yours, O lord. They called to one another, those soldiers, O bull among the Bharatas, "stand, stand!" -- yet they themselves did not remain standing there.
