तम् आपतन्तं सहसा महाबलम् अमर्षणम् ॥
पाञ्चाल्यायाभिसंक्रुद्धम् अन्तकायान्तकोपमम् ॥
चोदितो वासुदेवेन भीमसेनो महाबलः ॥
अवप्लुत्य रथात् तूर्णं बाहुभ्यां समवारयत् ॥
द्रवमाणं तथा क्रुद्धं सात्यकिं पाण्डवो बली ॥
प्रस्कन्दमानम् आदाय जगाम बलिनं बलात् ॥
tam āpatantaṃ sahasā mahābalam amarṣaṇam ||
pāñcālyāyābhisaṃkruddham antakāyāntakopamam ||
codito vāsudevena bhīmaseno mahābalaḥ ||
avaplutya rathāt tūrṇaṃ bāhubhyāṃ samavārayat ||
dravamāṇaṃ tathā kruddhaṃ sātyakiṃ pāṇḍavo balī ||
praskandamānam ādāya jagāma balinaṃ balāt ||
Him -- rushing forth suddenly, mighty, impatient, furious against the Panchalya, like Death itself to death -- Bhimasena the mighty, urged on by Vasudeva, leaping quickly from his chariot, held back with his arms. Seizing Satyaki as he strained forward, enraged, the mighty Pandava dragged the strong one away by force.

Krishna urges, Bhima acts: the enraged Satyaki is restrained not by word but by strong arms. What stands out is that Krishna's wisdom works through Bhima's strength -- counsel and might join to prevent fratricide. The verse teaches that sometimes fury cannot be reasoned with, only curbed by the strength of a loving hand; and to hold back a friend from the irreparable is itself a feat, requiring resolve, strength, and a sure sense of the moment.
