इमे ते भ्रातरः सर्वे दीना भरतसत्तम ॥
त्वयि शोकसमाविष्टे नृपाश् च सुहृदस् तव ॥
एतांस् त्वं वचसा साम्ना समाश्वासय मानद ॥
विदितं वेदितव्यं ते न शोकं कर्तुम् अर्हसि ॥

Transliteration (IAST)

ime te bhrātaraḥ sarve dīnā bharatasattama ||
tvayi śokasamāviṣṭe nṛpāś ca suhṛdas tava ||
etāṃs tvaṃ vacasā sāmnā samāśvāsaya mānada ||
viditaṃ veditavyaṃ te na śokaṃ kartum arhasi ||

Translation

"Here are all your brothers, downcast, O best of Bharatas, while you are overcome with sorrow — and kings, and your friends. Comfort them with a kindly word, O honorer. You know all that must be known — it is not proper for you to grieve."
