एवम् आश्वासितः पार्थः कृष्णेनाद्भुतकर्मणा ॥
ततो ऽब्रवीत् तदा भ्रातॄन् सर्वान् पार्थः सगद्गदान् ॥
स दीर्घबाहुः पृथ्वंसो दीर्घराजीवलोचनः ॥
अभिमन्युर् यथा वृत्तः श्रोतुम् इच्छाम्य् अहं तथा ॥

Translation
Thus comforted by Krishna of wondrous deeds, Partha then spoke to all his brothers, himself through his sobs: "How it happened to Abhimanyu — the mighty-armed, broad-shouldered, with long lotus eyes — of that I wish to hear."

Krishna's word takes effect: Arjuna now turns not to heaven but to his brothers — yet "sagadgadān", "through his sobs": consolation has not removed the grief, only given it a channel. "Śrotuṃ icchāmi… yathā vṛttaḥ", "I wish to hear how it happened", — he is ready to hear the truth, not only to mourn. It is telling that healing is measured by this shift: from wailing to a question, from himself to those near him. The verse teaches that a good word does not carry away grief at once, but returns the grieving one to people and to the capacity to listen — and it is with this that the return to life begins.
