गृहीतवाक्यो नृपतेः पुरोधा; गत्वा प्रशंसाम् अभिधाय तेषाम् ॥
वाक्यं यथावन् नृपतेः समग्रम्; उवाच तान् स क्रमवित् क्रमेण ॥
विज्ञातुम् इच्छत्य् अवनीश्वरो वः; पाञ्चालराजो द्रुपदो वरार्हाः ॥
लक्ष्यस्य वेद्धारम् इमं हि दृष्ट्वा; हर्षस्य नान्तं परिपश्यते सः ॥

Traducción

The purohita said: "Having received the king's word, the purohita, arriving and offering them praise, spoke out in full order the king's word: 'The lord of the earth, king Drupada of Panchala, wishes to know you, O worthy ones; for having seen this piercer of the mark, he sees no end to his joy.'"

Comentario

Here the messenger approaches with praise and respect. It is significant that the priest ‘offers praise’ before questioning: a courteous envoy begins with respect, not interrogation. Here is the good custom of embassy: the worthy are addressed with honor. Thus the scripture shows the priest's courtesy; and Drupada's joy, conveyed through him, invites openness.
