ब्राह्मणागम्यतां शीघ्रं यावत् परधनैषिणः ॥

Here, having resolved his doubt, Arjuna acts decisively. It is telling that he enters only "having asked leave": even in transgressing a vow for the sake of duty, he preserves reverence toward the elder. Even in an unavoidable breach, one ought to keep due respect. Thus scripture shows Arjuna's nobility; and, taking up the bow, he hastens to fulfill the duty of protection.
