आजगाम पुरं वीरः सव्यसाची परंतपः ॥

Here duty is fulfilled, and glory crowns the righteous deed. It is telling that, having protected the brahmin, Arjuna "drinks in fame": a good deed of itself begets good renown. The fulfillment of duty is itself its own reward and honor. Thus scripture shows the triumph of protection; and the brahmin's recovered wealth is the fruit of faithfulness to dharma.
