अर्जुनम् च अपि संश्रित्यarjunam ca api saṃśrityahaving taken refuge in Arjuna,
राज-पुत्राः महा-बलाःrāja-putrāḥ mahā-balāḥthe mighty princes
अशिक्षन्त धनुर्-वेदम्aśikṣanta dhanur-vedamstudied the science of the bow,
रौरव-अजिन-वाससःraurava-ajina-vāsasaḥclad in the hides of the ruru [antelope];
तत्र एव शिक्षिताः राजन्tatra eva śikṣitāḥ rājanthere too were trained, O king,
कुमाराः वृष्णि-नन्दनाःkumārāḥ vṛṣṇi-nandanāḥthe princes, the joys of the Vrishnis:
रौक्मिणेयः च साम्बः चraukmiṇeyaḥ ca sāmbaḥ caRaukmineya [Pradyumna], Samba,

Here the hall of the righteous king becomes a school of valor as well. It is significant that the princes take refuge in Arjuna, donning the humble hides of ascetics: even the noble humble themselves for the sake of learning, for knowledge is gained through obedience, not through birth. So the scripture shows that the abode of dharma nurtures both wisdom and valor; and further on heavenly music sounds.
