तेषु तूत्साद्यमानेषु क्रोधार्षन्वितौ
श्रुतायुश् चाच्युतायुश् नंयम् युध्यताम्
लिनौ स्पर्धिनौ वीरौ कुजौ बाहुशालिनौ
ताव् नं र्षाणि व्यक्षिणम् स्यताम्
त्वरायुक्तौ हारा प्रार्थयानौ हद् शः
र्जुस्य प्रेप्सू पुत्रार्थे न्विनौ

tvayuktau maja prārthanau mahad yaśaḥ ||

While they were being destroyed, [the two,] full of wrath and impatience, Shrutayus and Achyutayus fought with Dhananjaya -- strong, rivaling heroes, highborn, mighty of arm. They showered him with rains of arrows from left and right, hastening, O great king, seeking great glory, longing to slay Arjuna for the sake of your son -- two archers.
