सा णे पार्थं केवं हाथम्
तः प्रसन् वीरो दाम् द्यम्य भा
थम् वार्य या केवं तायत्
या ताडितं दृष्ट्वा केवं वीहा
र्जुनो भृसंक्रुद्धः सो ऽम्बष्ठं प्रति भा

āsada raṇe rthaṃ keśavaṃ ca maratham ||
tataḥ sa prahasan vīro gam udyamya bhārata ||

gada ḍitaṃ dṛṣṭvā keśavaṃ parara ||

Traducción

Ambashtha, taking up his mace, his eyes clouded by rage, advanced in battle upon Partha and Keshava the great warrior. Then that hero, laughing, O Bharata, raised his mace and, shielding his chariot with it, struck Keshava. Seeing Keshava struck with the mace, Arjuna, the slayer of enemy heroes, turned upon Ambashtha in fierce wrath, O Bharata.
