Traducción
The Angas, with a troop of elephants, surrounded the Pandava, enraged, by the thousands, O king — trained elephant-drivers, directed by Duryodhana, with elephants like mountains. The eastern and southern kings, headed by Kalinga, [advanced upon him].

Duryodhana hurls fresh hordes at Arjuna — mountain-like elephants, eastern and southern kings. 'Duryodhanasamādiṣṭāḥ,' 'directed by Duryodhana': the king goes on sending his men to their deaths. It is telling that the more who fall, the more he sends. The verse teaches the obstinacy of a blinded will: instead of halting before a plain outcome, the unrighteous man multiplies victims, throwing troop after troop into the fire; and the more evident the futility, the more fiercely he clings to it, destroying ever more of those who trusted him.
