ये ताः पाण्डवं युद्धे क्रोधार्षन्विताः
ते ऽद्यापि निर्तन्ते सिन्धवः साराद्
न्तस् तु न्यर्तन्त वेदेभ्य नास्तिकाः
कं मानास् ते प्रत्यद्यन्त किल्बिषम्

ye gatāḥ ṇḍavaṃ yuddhe krodhāmarṣasamanvitāḥ ||
te 'dyāpi na nivartante sindhavaḥ gad iva ||
asantas tu nyavartanta vedebhya iva stikāḥ ||
narakaṃ bhajas te pratyapadyanta kilbiṣam ||

Traducción

Those who went against Pandava in battle, full of anger and impatience, even now do not return — as rivers do not return from the ocean. But the worthless turned back, as unbelievers turn from the Vedas; falling into hell, they incurred sin.
