तावकास् तव पुत्राश् च द्रोणानीकस्थयोस् तयोः ॥
नैतौ तरिष्यतो द्रोणम् इति चक्रुस् तदा मतिम् ॥
तौ तु दृष्ट्वा व्यतिक्रान्तौ द्रोणानीकं महाद्युती ॥
नाशशंसुर् महाराज सिन्धुराजस्य जीवितम् ॥
आशा बलवती राजन् पुत्राणाम् अभवत् तव ॥
द्रोणहार्दिक्ययोः कृष्णौ न मोक्ष्येते इति प्रभो ॥

tāvakās tava putrāś ca droṇānīkasthayos tayoḥ ||
naitau tariṣyato droṇam iti cakrus tadā matim ||
tau tu dṛṣṭvā vyatikrāntau droṇānīkaṃ mahādyutī ||
nāśaśaṃsur mahārāja sindhurājasya jīvitam ||
āśā balavatī rājan putrāṇām abhavat tava ||
droṇahārdikyayoḥ kṛṣṇau na mokṣyete iti prabho ||

Traducción

Your [warriors] and your sons, [when] those two were at Drona's formation, thought thus: "These two will not get past Drona." But having seen them having passed through Drona's formation, [two] resplendent ones, they did not hope, O great king, for the life of the king of Sindhu. Strong was the hope, O king, that your sons held: "From Drona and Hardikya, the two Krishnas will not escape," O lord.
