था हि मुर्णो ऽयम् योर् ति मेनिरे
ताका दृश्य मुक्तौ तौ विक्रोन्ति स्म र्वतः
द्रोणाद् शीविषाकाराज् ज्वलिताद् पाकात्
न्येभ्यः पार्थिवेभ्यश् भास्वन्ताव् भास्करौ
तौ मुक्तौ साप्रख्याद् द्रोणानीकाद् रिंमौ
दृश्येतां मुदा युक्तौ मुत्तीर्यार्णवं था

tathā hi mukhavarṇo 'yam anayor iti menire ||
va dṛśya muktau tau vikrośanti sma sarvataḥ ||
droṇād āśīviṣāj jvalid iva vakāt ||
anyebhyaḥ rthivebhyaś ca bhāsvantāv iva bhāskarau ||
tau muktau garaprakhyād droṇād ariṃdamau ||
adṛśyetāṃ mu yuktau samuttīryārṇavaṃ yathā ||

Traducción

"For such is the color of the faces of these two" — so thought your warriors, seeing those two freed, and cried out everywhere. Shining like two suns from Drona, in form like a venomous serpent, as if from a blazing fire, and from other kings — those two, freed from the ocean-like formation of Drona, the two scourges of the foe, appeared, filled with joy, as if having swum across the ocean.
