राजित्य संहृष्टः कृर्माणम् वे
न्तारम् ब्रवीच् छूरः नैर् याहीत्य् संभ्रमम्
दृष्ट्वा तु तत् सैन्यं थाश्वद्विसंकुलम्
दातिसंपूर्णम् ब्रवीत् साथिं पुनः
यद् तन् मेसंकाशं द्रोणानीस्य व्यतः
सुहत् कुञ्जरानीकं स्य रुक्मथो मुखम्

pajitya ca saṃhṛṣṭaḥ kṛtavarmāṇam āhave ||
yantāram abrac chūraḥ śanair yāty asaṃbhramam ||
dṛṣṭvā tu tava tat sainyaṃ rathāśvadvipasaṃkulam ||
patijanasaṃrṇam abrat sārathiṃ punaḥ ||
yad etan meghasaṃśaṃ droṇākasya savyataḥ ||
sumahat kuñjakaṃ yasya rukmaratho mukham ||

Traducción

And having conquered Kritavarman in battle, rejoicing, the hero addressed [his] charioteer: "Drive slowly," undisturbed. But seeing that army of yours, swarming with chariots, horses, elephants, filled with foot-soldiers, he said to the charioteer again: "This, that resembles clouds, [to] the left of Drona's array — the vast array of elephants, [of] which Rukmaratha is the vanguard..."
