संधस् तु तत् त्यक्त्वा रं वै रानम्
तोरं व्यसृजत् तूर्णं सात्यकिं प्रति मारि
निर्भिद्य भुजं व्यं मास्य हाणे
भ्यगाद् णीं घोरः श्वसन्न् होगः
निर्भिन्ने तु भुजे व्ये सात्यकिः त्यविक्रमः
त्रिंद्भिर् विशिखैस् तीक्ष्णैर् संधम् तायत्

jalasaṃdhas tu tat tyaktvā saśaraṃ vai śasanam ||
tomaraṃ vyasṛjat tūrṇaṃ tyakiṃ prati riṣa ||
sa nirbhidya bhujaṃ savyaṃ dhavasya maraṇe ||
abhyad dharaṇīṃ ghoraḥ śvasann iva mahoragaḥ ||
nirbhinne tu bhuje savye tyakiḥ satyavikramaḥ ||
triṃśadbhir viśikhais tīkṣṇair jalasaṃdham aḍayat ||

Traducción

But Jalasandha, casting aside that bow together with its arrow, quickly hurled a javelin at Satyaki, O worthy one. Piercing the left arm of Madhava in that great battle, it sank into the ground, terrible, like a hissing great serpent. Then, with his left arm pierced, Satyaki, the truly valiant, struck Jalasandha with thirty sharp arrows.
