चिन्तयन् वै रान् नात्यर्थं संभ्रमाद् ली
नुर् न्यत् मादा तिष्ठ तिष्ठेत्य् वा
तावद् क्त्वा शैनेयो संधं होसि
विव्या ष्ट्या सुभृशं राणां प्रसन्न्
क्षुप्रे पीते मुष्टिदेशे हद् नुः
संस्य चिच्छे विव्या त्रिभिः रैः

acintayan vai sa śan nātyarthaṃ saṃbhrad ba ||
dhanur anyat saya tiṣṭha tiṣṭhety uca ha ||
evad uktvā śaineyo jalasaṃdhaṃ mahorasi ||
vivyādha ṣaṣṭyā subhṛśaṃ śaṇāṃ prahasann iva ||
kṣurapreṇa ca tena muṣṭideśe mahad dhanuḥ ||
jalasaṃdhasya ciccheda vivyādha ca tribhiḥ śaraiḥ ||

विव्याध षष्ट्या सुभृशम्vivyādha ṣaṣṭyā subhṛśampierced with sixty, most forcefully; struck with sixty, most vehemently
शराणाम् प्रहसन् इवśarāṇām prahasan ivaarrows, as if laughing; of arrows, as though laughing
क्षुरप्रेण च पीतेनkṣurapreṇa ca pītenaand with a yellow razor-arrow; and with a yellow [arrow-]razor
मुष्टिदेशे महत् धनुःmuṣṭideśe mahat dhanuḥ[at] the grip, the great bow; at the place of the grip, the mighty bow
जलसंधस्य चिच्छेदjalasaṃdhasya cicchedaof Jalasandha he cut; he severed of Jalasandha
विव्याध च त्रिभिः शरैःvivyādha ca tribhiḥ śaraiḥand pierced with three arrows; and struck with three arrows
Traducción

Heeding not the arrows, not at all from agitation, the powerful one, taking up another bow, said, "Stand, stand!" Having said this much, Shaineya pierced Jalasandha [in] the broad chest with sixty arrows, most forcefully, as if laughing; and with a yellow razor-arrow he cut the great bow of Jalasandha [at] the grip, and pierced [him] with three arrows.
