Seeing him bearing down toward the chariot of Shaineya, the son of Bhimasena [Ghatotkacha], enraged, repelled the foe — mounted on his huge, dreadful chariot of black iron, covered with bear-hide, yoked with elephant-like creatures, neither horses nor elephants; with eight wheels spread wide, with an exposed, creaking axle, with a standard whose beak was raised high, gleaming with the king of vultures; with a banner drenched in blood, adorned with garlands of entrails, fitted with eight wheels — mounted on this huge chariot, surrounded by rakshasas of dreadful form bearing tridents and clubs, rocks and trees in their hands, surrounded by a whole akshauhini.
