तः सैनिमुख्यास् ते प्रशंसुर् र्षभौ
द्रोपार्थौ हेष्वासौ र्वयुद्धविशादौ
तः प्रमुच्य कौन्तेयं द्रोणो द्रुवाहिनीम्
व्यमद् रोताम्राक्षो वाव्यास्त्रे भा
ते न्यमाना द्रोणे पाञ्चालाः प्राद्रवन् यात्
श्यतो भीसेस्य पार्थस्य हात्मनः

te hanya droṇena ñcālāḥ prādravan bhayāt ||

Then those chief warriors praised the two bulls among men, Drona and Partha [Yudhishthira], great bowmen, skilled in every kind of battle. Then, having released the son of Kunti, Drona, his eyes copper-red with fury, scattered Drupada's army with the vayavya weapon, O Bharata. Slain by Drona, the Panchalas fled in fear, before the very eyes of Bhimasena and of Partha, the great-souled one.
