शकुनिश् च बलश् चैव वृषको ऽथ बृहद्बलः ॥
एते गान्धारराजस्य सुताः सर्वे समागताः ॥
अश्वत्थामा च भोजश् च सर्वशस्त्रभृतां वरौ ॥
समवेतौ महात्मानौ त्वदर्थे समलंकृतौ ॥

Here the sons of Gandhara and the son of Drona are also counted into the assembly. It is telling that among the suitors is Ashvatthaman, the teacher's son: even teachers and their children are drawn to the maiden. Here appears the breadth of the divine bride's attraction: men of every lineage and rank flock to her. Thus scripture shows the fullness of the gathering; and the splendor of the names only underscores how hard the victory over the impossible bow will be.
