Here, among the gathered, the Lord Himself is named -- Vasudeva-Krishna together with the Vrishnis. It is telling that Krishna is present at the svayamvara: wherever a great design unfolds, He is there too, invisibly directing events. Here lies the heart of the whole scene: Krishna, the Supreme Person, has come -- and He alone will discern the hidden Pandavas and guide the outcome. It is telling that among the rest He is merely "named" in the list, while in truth He is the center of it all. Thus scripture shows the Lord's presence in the very midst of events; and beneath the apparent equality of names lies concealed the One for whose design everything unfolds.
