स चापि केशौ हरिर् उद्बबर्ह; शुक्लम् एकम् अपरं चापि कृष्णम् ॥
तौ चापि केशौ विशतां यदूनां; कुले स्त्रियौ रोहिणीं देवकीं च ॥
तयोर् एको बलदेवो बभूव; कृष्णो द्वितीयः केशवः संबभूव ॥

Here the Lord himself descends for the task ahead. It is telling that Narayana manifests Balarama and Krishna [figuratively, from a white and a black hair]: in arranging the descent of the gods, the Lord comes to earth himself. Here is the highest mystery: Krishna is not merely one of the instruments of the plan, but the Supreme Person himself, descended to govern all. The verse reveals the advent of Krishna and Balarama, and behind the fate of the Pandavas and Draupadi stands the Lord himself, descended.
