तया स्वजनगामीनि श्रावितो वचनानि सः ॥
संपूजितश् चाप्य् असकृच् छिरसा चाभिवादितः ॥
ताम् अनुज्ञाप्य वार्ष्णेयः प्रतिनन्द्य च भामिनीम् ॥
ददर्शानन्तरं कृष्णां धौम्यं चापि जनार्दनः ॥

अनुवाद
"Subhadra conveyed to him messages for her kin; and he was honored by her more than once and greeted with a bow. Having taken leave of her and greeted the lovely one, Varshneya then saw Draupadi and Dhaumya."

Here the farewells proceed in turn, passing no one by. It is significant that the Lord accepts His sister's messages to her kin — He does not disregard even the small errand of a loving heart. This reveals His accessibility: the great one stoops to the concerns of those dear to Him. Thus scripture shows Krishna's attentiveness to each person; and He now turns to the priest and to Draupadi.
