अर्चयाम् आस देवांश् च द्विजांश् च यदुपुंगवः ॥
माल्यजप्यनमस्कारैर् गन्धैर् उच्चावचैर् अपि ॥
स कृत्वा सर्वकार्याणि प्रतस्थे तस्थुषां वरः ॥
स्वस्ति वाच्यार्हतो विप्रान् दधिपात्रफलाक्षतैः ॥
वसु प्रदाय च ततः प्रदक्षिणम् अवर्तत ॥
arcayām āsa devāṃś ca dvijāṃś ca yadupuṃgavaḥ ||
mālyajapyanamaskārair gandhair uccāvacair api ||
sa kṛtvā sarvakāryāṇi pratasthe tasthuṣāṃ varaḥ ||
svasti vācyārhato viprān dadhipātraphalākṣataiḥ ||
vasu pradāya ca tataḥ pradakṣiṇam avartata ||
"The bull of the Yadu race honored the gods and the brahmins with garlands, prayer, bows, and fragrances of every kind; and having performed all his duties, the best of the steadfast set out on his way. Having bidden worthy brahmins proclaim 'svasti' — with vessels of curd, fruits, and whole grains of rice — and having distributed wealth, he performed the reverent circumambulation."

Here the very giver of all blessings receives the blessing of the brahmins before the road. It is significant that Krishna, the source of auspiciousness, honors the established rite of 'svasti' and gives gifts to the twice-born: the Lord Himself observes what He teaches people, sanctifying every undertaking. Thus scripture shows that one's journey too should be preceded by blessing and generosity; and Krishna now mounts his chariot.
