तत्र गत्वा स जग्राह गदां शङ्खं च भारत ॥
स्फाटिकं च सभाद्रव्यं यद् आसीद् वृषपर्वणः ॥
किंकरैः सह रक्षोभिर् अगृह्णात् सर्वम् एव तत् ॥

Vaishampayana said: "Having gone there, he took the mace and the conch, O Bharata, and the crystal material for the hall, that had belonged to Vrishaparvan; together with the rakshasa-kinkaras he took all of it."

Here the promise is fulfilled exactly. It is telling that Maya does not come alone, but with his kinkara servants: a great undertaking requires both helpers and forces obedient to the builder's will. Thus scripture shows the active fulfillment of one's word; and [next] the palace itself is raised.
