“For from the violation of dharma the mind itself is tormented; whoever attacks the blameless, though a kshatriya, sins without doubt. Acting otherwise in the world [than dharma prescribes], even a knower of dharma, a man of great vows, attains a woeful fate and loses his own welfare. In the three worlds there is nothing better than the kshatra-dharma of the virtuous; yet you, knowing me blameless, speak as though in error.”
