तन् मां दहति यत् कृष्णा सभायां कुरुसंनिधौ ॥
धार्तराष्ट्रैः परिक्लिष्टा यथा नकुशलं तथा ॥
निर्वासनं च नगरात् प्रव्रज्या च परंतप ॥
नानाविधानां दुःखानाम् आवासो ऽस्मि जनार्दन ॥
अज्ञातचर्या बालानाम् अवरोधश् च केशव ॥
न स्म क्लेशतमं मे स्यात् पुत्रैः सह परंतप ॥
दुर्योधनेन निकृता वर्षम् अद्य चतुर्दशम् ॥
दुःखाद् अपि सुखं न स्याद् यदि पुण्यफलक्षयः ॥
न मे विशेषो जात्व् आसीद् धार्तराष्ट्रेषु पाण्डवैः ॥
तेन सत्येन कृष्ण त्वां हतामित्रं श्रिया वृतम् ॥
अस्माद् विमुक्तं संग्रामात् पश्येयं पाण्डवैः सह ॥
नैव शक्याः पराजेतुं सत्त्वं ह्य् एषां तथागतम् ॥

dhārtarāṣṭraiḥ parikliṣṭā yathā nakuśalaṃ tathā ||
nirvāsanaṃ ca nagarāt pravrajyā ca paraṃtapa ||
nānāvidhānāṃ duḥkhānām āvāso 'smi janārdana ||
ajñātacaryā bālānām avarodhaś ca keśava ||
na sma kleśatamaṃ me syāt putraiḥ saha paraṃtapa ||
duryodhanena nikṛtā varṣam adya caturdaśam ||
duḥkhād api sukhaṃ na syād yadi puṇyaphalakṣayaḥ ||
na me viśeṣo jātv āsīd dhārtarāṣṭreṣu pāṇḍavaiḥ ||
tena satyena kṛṣṇa tvāṃ hatāmitraṃ śriyā vṛtam ||
asmād vimuktaṃ saṃgrāmāt paśyeyaṃ pāṇḍavaiḥ saha ||
naiva śakyāḥ parājetuṃ sattvaṃ hy eṣāṃ tathāgatam ||

अनुवाद

Then King Dhritarashtra spoke these words to Duryodhana: 'O ruler of men, never say this again; this is not an ancient custom. Hrishikesha is coming here as an envoy.'
