सन् सुयोनामात्याः राजा द्रथः
थोत्था हामात्यैर् दीनः शिबिरम् त्मनः
यात् सौवीसिन्धूनाम् श्वरो भृदुःखितः
न्त्रकाले संन्त्र्य र्वा नैःश्रेसीः क्रियाः
सुयोनम् दं वाक्यम् ब्रवीद् रासंदि

अनुवाद

"Then all, fallen in spirit, frightened like timid game, were the counselors of Suyodhana, and King Jayadratha too. Then, rising with his counselors, dejected, the lord of the Sauviras and Sindhus came to his own camp, grievously distressed. Taking counsel at the hour of deliberation about all salutary measures, he spoke this word to Suyodhana in the assembly of kings."
