अर्जुन उवाच
षड् रथान् धार्तराष्ट्रस्य मन्यसे यान् बलाधिकान् ॥
तेषां वीर्यं ममार्धेन न तुल्यम् इति लक्षये ॥
अस्त्रम् अस्त्रेण सर्वेषाम् एतेषां मधुसूदन ॥
मया द्रक्ष्यसि निर्भिन्नं जयद्रथवधैषिणा ॥
arjuna uvāca
ṣaḍ rathān dhārtarāṣṭrasya manyase yān balādhikān ||
teṣāṃ vīryaṃ mamārdhena na tulyam iti lakṣaye ||
astram astreṇa sarveṣām eteṣāṃ madhusūdana ||
mayā drakṣyasi nirbhinnaṃ jayadrathavadhaiṣiṇā ||
[Arjuna:] "The six chariot-warriors of Dhritarashtra's son, whom you consider superior in strength — their valor, I think, is not even equal to half of mine. The weapons of all of them, O Madhusudana, you will see shattered by my weapon — by me, who am eager for the death of Jayadratha."

Where Jayadratha sought shelter behind the six, Arjuna rates their entire company below half of his own strength: "teṣāṃ vīryaṃ mama ardhena na tulyam". This is not boasting, but the certainty of one whose charioteer is the Lord, and whose will is sealed by a vow. It is telling how differently two souls regard the same six: one is frozen with fear, the other dismisses them as less than half an obstacle. The verse teaches that the measure of strength is set not by the number of enemies but by who stands with you: one joined with God and faithful to duty does not count opponents, for he measures them not by himself but by the One who stands behind him.
