मय्य् अपेक्षा न कर्तव्या कथं चिद् अपि सात्वत ॥
राजन्य् एव परा गुप्तिः कार्या सर्वात्मना त्वया ॥
न हि यत्र महाबाहुर् वासुदेवो व्यवस्थितः ॥
किं चिद् व्यापद्यते तत्र यत्राहम् अपि च ध्रुवम् ॥

अनुवाद
"No care should be taken for me in any way whatsoever, O Satvata; let the highest guard be exercised by you with your whole being for the king alone. For where the mighty-armed Vasudeva stands, and where I too am, nothing, surely, comes to harm."

The core of Arjuna's confidence is the Lord's presence: "yatra… vāsudevaḥ vyavasthitaḥ… kiṃ cit vyāpadyate tatra" — "where Vasudeva stands, nothing there perishes." He bids his friend not to worry about him at all: Krishna is with him, and that suffices. Tellingly, he places his own safety entirely on nearness to God, while turning his friend's care toward the king. The verse teaches the essence of surrender: where the Lord is, there is no ruin; and the devotee, knowing this, does not fret over himself, but gives all his care to others — for beside God he stands in perfect safety.
