देवनागरी
तत् तथा तव पुत्रस्य सैन्यं युधि परंतप ॥
प्रभग्नं द्रुतम् आविग्नम् अतीव शरपीडितम् ॥
मारुतेनेव महता मेघानीकं विधूयता ॥
प्रकाल्यमानं तत् सैन्यं नाशकत् प्रतिवीक्षितुम् ॥

अनुवाद
So, O scourge of foes, that army of your son in battle was broken, put to hasty flight, in confusion, exceedingly tormented by arrows. Like a cloud scattered by a great wind, that army, driven before him, could not even look at him.

The image "meghānīkam vidhūyatā mārutena", "a cloud scattered by the wind", paints the army's disintegration: a formidable mass dispersed like cloud before a gale. "Na aśakat prativīkṣitum", "could not even look at him", marks the utter breaking of their spirit. It is telling that the force which so recently fancied itself a shore against the ocean is scattered like vapor. The verse teaches the fragility of strength without truth: the army of iniquity, however vast, disperses before the righteous like cloud before wind; and what boasted of invincibility cannot withstand even a glance at the one who fulfills God's will.
