विस्फुलिङ्गा निर्भिद्य निपा हीले
तं तुर्दभिः पार्थो नाराचैः ङ्कत्रिभिः
साश्वध्वनुःसूतं विव्याधाचिन्त्यविक्रमः
थं चान्यैः सुहुभिश् क्रे विलं रैः
सुक्षिणं तु काम्बोजं मोसंल्पविक्रमम्
बिभे हृदि बाणे पृथुधारे पाण्डवः

अनुवाद

She, blazing like a great meteor, having reached him, the great warrior, shedding sparks, broke through and fell to the ground. Him, with fourteen iron heron-feathered arrows, Partha, of inconceivable valor, pierced — together with his horses, banner, bow, and charioteer. Sudakshina, the Kambojan, whose resolve and valor were now in vain, the Pandava cleaved in the heart with a broad-bladed arrow.
