सैन्धवः पृष्ठतस् त्व् आसीत् सर्वसैन्यस्य भारत ॥
रक्षितः परमेष्वासैः कृपप्रभृतिभी रथैः ॥
तस्यास्तां चक्ररक्षौ द्वौ सैन्धवस्य बृहत्तमौ ॥
द्रौणिर् दक्षिणतो राजन् सूतपुत्रश् च वामतः ॥

अनुवाद

The Sindhu king (Jayadratha) was stationed at the rear of the whole army, O Bharata, guarded by superb archers, charioteers headed by Kripa. He had two guardians of the wheel, the mightiest of all — Drauni (Ashvatthaman) on the right, O king, and the son of the suta (Karna) on the left.
