ततः प्रहस्याधिरथिर् अन्यद् आदत्त कार्मुकम् ॥
शत्रुघ्नं समरे क्रुद्धो दृढज्यं वेगवत्तरम् ॥
स भीमसेनः कुपितो बलवान् सत्यविक्रमः ॥
विहायसं प्राक्रमद् वै कर्णस्य व्यथयन् मनः ॥
तस्य तच् चरितं दृष्ट्वा संग्रामे विजयैषिणः ॥
लयम् आस्थाय राधेयो भीमसेनम् अवञ्चयत् ॥
तम् अदृष्ट्वा रथोपस्थे निलीनं व्यथितेन्द्रियम् ॥
ध्वजम् अस्य समासाद्य तस्थौ स धरणीतले ॥

śatrughnaṃ samare kruddho dṛḍhajyaṃ vegavattaram ||
sa bhīmasenaḥ kupito balavān satyavikramaḥ ||
vihāyasaṃ prākramad vai karṇasya vyathayan manaḥ ||
tasya tac caritaṃ dṛṣṭvā saṃgrāme vijayaiṣiṇaḥ ||
layam āsthāya rādheyo bhīmasenam avañcayat ||
tam adṛṣṭvā rathopasthe nilīnaṃ vyathitendriyam ||
dhvajam asya samāsādya tasthau sa dharaṇītale ||

अनुवाद

Then, laughing, the son of Adhiratha took up another bow, foe-destroying, enraged in battle, with a firm bowstring, ever more swift. He, Bhimasena, enraged, strong, of true valor, soared into the sky, troubling Karna's mind. Having seen that deed of his, Radheya, seeking victory in the battle, seizing the [right] moment, eluded Bhimasena. Not seeing him, hidden in the body of the chariot, concealed, with senses in turmoil, [Karna], having reached his banner, stood on the ground.
