[Sanjaya:] "[A chariot], bound with iron and golden plates, fitted with a pole, studded with a thousand stars, bearing a lion-standard and banners, yoked with wind-swift horses, with golden harness and trappings, white, resembling the moon, surpassing every sound, firm, with wondrous golden armor, with foremost horses, O lord of the people, with the din of a mass of bells, flashing with shakti-spears and tomaras, furnished with implements of war, equipped with an abundant store of weapons — he fashioned the chariot, with a rumble deep as that of the clouds. Having mounted that, Shainya charged upon your army; Daruka too, as he pleased, departed to Keshava's side."

The detailed description of the new chariot reveals the craftsman's art — Daruka's brother: behind the warrior's feat stands the unseen labor of many hands. It is notable that Daruka, having given up one chariot, at once returns to Krishna: service does not long leave its post. The verse teaches that a great deed rests on a host of unnoticed services — charioteers, craftsmen, helpers; and the glory that falls to the warrior is rightly shared with all whose labor equipped his path.
