सपुत्रा हि पुरा कुन्ती दग्धा जतुगृहे श्रुता ॥
पुनर्जातान् इति स्मैतान् मन्यन्ते सर्वपार्थिवाः ॥

Here the Pandavas' rescue seems like a new birth. It is telling that the kings regard them as "reborn": deliverance from certain death is like a second birth, a gift from above. Here the hand of the Lord shows itself, drawing His own out of the fire of death. Thus scripture reveals the wondrous nature of their deliverance; and those thought perished rise up to the astonishment of the world.
