मागधानाम् सु-रुचिरम्māgadhānām su-ruciramthe beautiful
चैत्यक-अन्तम् समाद्रवन्caityaka-antam samādravantip [peak] of Chaityaka of the Magadhas they charged at,
शिरसि इव जिघांसन्तःśirasi iva jighāṃsantaḥas if wishing to strike at the very head,
जरासंध-जिघांसवःjarāsaṃdha-jighāṃsavaḥeager to slay Jarasandha;
स्थिरम् सु-विपुलम् शृङ्गम्sthiram su-vipulam śṛṅgamthe firm, exceedingly vast peak,
सु-महान्तम् पुरातनम्su-mahāntam purātanamexceedingly great, ancient,
अर्चितम् माल्य-दामैः चarcitam mālya-dāmaiḥ cahonored with garlands,
