译文

Arrows of speech fly from the mouth; whoever is struck by them grieves day and night. A learned man should not loose such arrows, for they do not merely graze the vital organs of others. He whom the gods have marked for downfall has his judgment taken from him, and for that reason sinks to shameful deeds. When understanding grows dim and ruin draws near, the wrong course, wearing the likeness of the right one, clings fast to the heart. You do not see clearly, O bull of the Bharatas, that a clouded understanding has now taken hold of your sons because of their enmity toward the Pandavas.
