译文

Scorched by grief for his son, enraged like Death the Ender, sparing not his life amid the tumult, armored, fighting in many ways, plunging into the ranks like a lord elephant, the great archer, valiant, the tiger among men — him they tried to hold back. Then a battle broke out, tumultuous, hair-raising, between those warriors and Arjuna, who longed for each other's destruction. The one eager to kill Jayadratha, the advancing bull among men, they held back together, as remedies hold back a disease that has flared up.
