ततो ऽन्यद् धनुर् आदाय द्रोणः क्षत्रियमर्दनः ॥
अस्त्रैर् अस्त्रविदां श्रेष्ठो योधयाम् आस भारत ॥
तस्यास्त्राण्य् अस्त्रमायाभिः प्रतिहन्य स सात्यकिः ॥
जघान निशितैर् बाणैस् तद् अद्भुतम् इवाभवत् ॥
तस्यातिमानुषं कर्म दृष्ट्वान्यैर् असमं रणे ॥
युक्तं योगेन योगज्ञास् तावकाः समपूजयन् ॥
tato 'nyad dhanur ādāya droṇaḥ kṣatriyamardanaḥ ||
astrair astravidāṃ śreṣṭho yodhayām āsa bhārata ||
tasyāstrāṇy astramāyābhiḥ pratihanya sa sātyakiḥ ||
jaghāna niśitair bāṇais tad adbhutam ivābhavat ||
tasyātimānuṣaṃ karma dṛṣṭvānyair asamaṃ raṇe ||
yuktaṃ yogena yogajñās tāvakāḥ samapūjayan ||
Then, taking another bow, Drona, the crusher of kshatriyas, the foremost of the knowers of weapons, fought with weapons, O Bharata. His weapons, having repelled them with weapon-feats, that Satyaki struck with sharp arrows -- it was as if a wonder. Having beheld his superhuman deed, unequaled by others in battle, joined with yoga, your warriors, knowers of yoga, honored it.

Satyaki's deed is called 'joined with yoga': the summit of all mastery is the fruit of concentration and spiritual gathering, not skill of the body alone. It is telling that the knowers of yoga recognize yoga itself in his fighting. The verse teaches that the peak of every mastery is rooted in yoga -- in the full concentration of the spirit: the hand's flawlessness is born from the gathering of the mind. True skill is the visible fruit of unseen inner discipline, and that is why it astonishes like a wonder.
