译文

And there was not, Sanjaya, a single warrior in my army hired for meager pay, O dear one, nor a man hired for mere goods. For they were honored to the full extent of my means — with gifts, honors, seats — and also by my sons, O dear one, and by kinsmen together with relatives. Yet they, having barely met the enemy in battle, were defeated by Savyasachin, crushed by Shaineya — what else is this, if not from fate?
