आत्मापराधात् संभूतं व्यसनं भरतर्षभ ॥
प्राप्य प्राकृवद् वी त्वं शोचितुम् र्हसि
निर्गुतां ज्ञात्वा क्षपातं सुतेषु
द्वैधीभावं था र्मे पाण्डवेषु त्सरम्
र्तप्रलापांश् हून् नुजाधित्त
र्वलोस्य त्त्वज्ञः र्वलोगुरुः प्रभुः
वासुदेवस् तो युद्धं कुरूणाम् रोन् हत्

ārtaprapāṃś ca ban manudhipasattama ||
sarvalokasya tattvajñaḥ sarvalokaguruḥ prabhuḥ ||
sudevas tato yuddhaṃ kuṇām akaron mahat ||

तव निर्गुणताम् ज्ञात्वाtava nirguṇatām jñātvāknowing your worthlessness; knowing your dishonesty
पक्षपातम् सुतेषु चpakṣapātam suteṣu caand partiality [toward] the sons; and partiality toward the sons
द्वैधीभावम् तथा धर्मेdvaidhībhāvam tathā dharmeand duplicity in dharma likewise; and double-mindedness in dharma alike
पाण्डवेषु च मत्सरम्pāṇḍaveṣu ca matsaramand envy [toward] the Pandavas; and ill will toward the Pandavas
सर्वलोकस्य तत्त्वज्ञःsarvalokasya tattvajñaḥknower of the truth of the whole world; who knows the truth of the whole world
सर्वलोकगुरुः प्रभुःsarvalokaguruḥ prabhuḥteacher of the whole world, lord; teacher of all worlds, lord

译文

"Meeting the calamity arisen [from] your own fault, O bull [among] the Bharatas, you must not grieve like a commoner, O hero. Knowing your worthlessness, and your partiality [toward] your sons, and likewise your duplicity in dharma and your envy [toward] the Pandavas, Vasudeva, knower of the truth of the whole world, teacher of the whole world, the lord, then wrought a great battle among the Kurus."
