译文

It [the mace], hurled by him with sharp arrows, the great warrior Drona, enraged, truly valiant, struck down with arrows. Seeing it, [the mace], struck down by Drona with arrows, the tiger among men took up a bright sword and a radiant shield of a hundred moons. Without doubt, in such a [position], the Panchala prince deemed it fitting — the timely slaying of the foremost among teachers, the great-souled one. Then, [standing] upon his own chariot, along the pole of his own chariot, he went, raising his sword and radiant shield of a hundred moons.
