न कर्तृत्वं न कर्माणि लोकस्य सृजति प्रभुः ।
न कर्मफलसंयोगं स्वभावस्तु प्रवर्तते ॥
Transliteration (IAST)
na kartṛtvaṁ na karmāṇi lokasya sṛjati prabhuḥ |
na karmaphalasaṁyogaṁ svabhāvas tu pravartate ||

Translation
“The embodied soul, the lord of the body-city, creates neither the sense of ‘I am the doer,’ nor the actions themselves, nor connection with their fruits. All this is driven by material nature alone (the guṇas).”
