अनारम्भ-परः राजाanārambha-paraḥ rājāa king inclined to inaction,
वल्मीकः इव सीदतिvalmīkaḥ iva sīdatisinks [perishes] like an anthill;
दुर्बलः च अनुपायेनdurbalaḥ ca anupāyenaand the weak one, without [proper] means,
बलिनम् यः अधितिष्ठतिbalinam yaḥ adhitiṣṭhatiwho rises against the strong, [perishes];

Here sounds the active valor of Bhima: inaction destroys, while diligence joined with proper means overcomes even the strongest. It is significant that he unites three gifts — Krishna's wisdom, his own might, and Arjuna's victory — into the image of three sacred fires: a good deed is accomplished through the harmony of different gifts. Thus the scripture reveals that courage alone is not enough without strategy, nor strategy alone without strength; and further Krishna will judge between peace and impulse.
